Sasuke grinned cruelly as Naruto began to cry, dark eyes alight with a cold fire. Slipping silently down from the tree he was perched on, the pale teen, now dripping sweat from the effort of evading the blonde-haired boy's attacks, glided over toward his raging companion, icy smile still painted on his face. “Fury isn’t a good thing to waste Naruto… If I wasn’t furious, I wouldn’t do this-“ Sasuke lunged toward Naruto and aimed an explosive kick at his right shin- “Or this-“ A shurikin thrown at the face- “And especially not this…” Sasuke threw himself at Naruto again, rather feebly due to the physical strain he was under.

Self righteous suicide...
Naruto's eyes widened. That look in his eyes...almost as if he was power hungry...it reminded him so much of Orochimaru that it made him shudder with fear. He quickly dodged each attack with dilligence, he too, sweating like a pig. His eyes were deep red, holding unshed tears again, his face stained with sweat and tear tracks. "Sasu...ke..." he panted heavily, wiping the sweat from his brow and leaning forward slightly. He was tasting blood now from the exhertion, and he knew that Sasuke wouldn't last too long either.
I...cry...
He narrowed his eyes, tears flowing freely now. "Why...are you always like this...Sasuke..." he panted, watching the pale boy in front of him. "You're always...like this...so...power hungry..."

"Because it's power that makes me who I am..." The pale teen panted, ebony hair slicked down by sweat. The world was stating to go blurry... Naruto's form was a tangle of yellow and peach smudges, with two blood-red pinpricks of eyes in the center of the fray. "Without power I... Am... NOTHING..." Sasuke fell to the ground with a sickening thud, and unconsciousness crashed over him like a black wave.

Broken, as fragile as now...
Naruto's eyes widened. No, no, he didn't get it. Power, it wasn't all about power...! Power meant nothing without feeling, without thought...No. Power came from the heart, not from the mind or the body! Sasuke would never understand that...Naruto's eyes widened further. Oh, God...
And I can't...I can't pick up the pieces...
It was a horrible thing to see the human body collapse, and seeing it happen to Sasuke made it even worse. Naruto jumped down from the tree he had been roosting in, screaming his name in horror and thumped next to him. He quickly brought a hand to the boy's neck, making sure, hoping he was still alive. He was. He blinked back tears and shook his head. He was doing this to himself, he was working too hard..."Can you hear me, Sasuke?"
